Founded in 2008, Sabella is a French pioneering tidal and ocean stream turbine developer, supplying reliable turnkey energy solutions worldwide.
The company’s team gathers a broad panel of expertise and experience through the dedicated work of about twenty staffs. So far, two tidal turbines were tried and tested in real conditions, D03 and D10. D10, is the first and still the only tidal turbine to have injected electricity into the French grid. Sabella is part of the PHARES project which will help to decarbonise the electricity generation system for the 800 inhabitants of the Ushant island in Brittany. In this framework the company will deploy of a pilot farm of two tidal turbines D12 of 500 kW each.
